Hello,
What size of a wad texture don't drop the fps? What is the "default size" to use? In some bsp maps are lot of places with 30 fps drop texture. I want full 60 to all map. |

Its more the number of brushes in an area than the texture that makes the FPS low, but the scale of the tetxure can help reduce the w_poly count take a look here. http://spr1n.kz-baltic.eu/mapping/FPSimprove/ The best way to get a feel for w_poly is to see them (IMG:http://forum.17buddies.rocks/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) start CS open console and type map followed by the map name eg map cs_747 type gl_wireframe 1 to show the polys gl1.jpg ( 285.02K ) Number of downloads: 10 type gl_wireframe 2 to show all the polys gl2.jpg ( 432.14K ) Number of downloads: 9 type gl_wireframe 0 to turn it off type r_speed 1 to show the number of polys being drawn This post has been edited by LiveWire: 04/12/2015 - 20:04:07 |
