Hello,

What size of a wad texture don't drop the fps?
What is the "default size" to use?
In some bsp maps are lot of places with 30 fps drop texture. I want full 60 to all map.

Its more the number of brushes in an area than the texture that makes the FPS low, but the scale of the tetxure can help reduce the w_poly count take a look here.

The best way to get a feel for w_poly is to see them (IMG:http://forum.17buddies.rocks/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

start CS
open console and type map followed by the map name eg map cs_747

type gl_wireframe 1 to show the polys

Attached File  gl1.jpg ( 285.02K ) Number of downloads: 10

type gl_wireframe 2 to show all the polys

Attached File  gl2.jpg ( 432.14K ) Number of downloads: 9

type gl_wireframe 0 to turn it off

type r_speed 1 to show the number of polys being drawn
