KV FILE WRITER

The answer to "How do I make a kv file?" or, "How do I write a kv file?"

Here's the information you need to use the program:

Fill in the map name, the same as your bsp and nav name. Prefix_Mapname_versionSuffix(if you have one). You don't need the file extension. This tool will add it when saving.

Fill in your Name! That will be commented into the .kv file.

Select a CT team, and a T team with your mouse.

Then, click save! A save dialog box will open, and you'll want to save it to your csgo/maps/ which should have your .bsp and .nav in there already.

Then, you can run your map, and your new T & CT teams should be there.

Uploading:
Steam Workshop should upload the .kv with your bsp automatically.
If sharing here, you can pack it into the .bsp or keep it external, like you might with the .nav, your results may vary with packing it into the .bsp.

Notes: This tool will throw errors into the console on the left, this is to ensure you're saving a working .kv file. However, if you manage to break it, do let me know.
