A copy of the same post at steam forums:
I've been playing this game fine since the beta start, then all of a sudden today, my game absolutely refuses to launch. I will start it, it will say preparing to launch, then the csgo.exe process will hang for about 15-20 seconds, with no window/s appearing, and then disappear.
I've tried:
- Verifying the game cache
- Restarting steam
- Restarting my computer
- Stopping all other processes except those required for CS:GO and Windows
- Redownloading binary files
- Redownloading the entire game, multiple times
- Updating my video drivers
- Rolling back my video drivers
- Updating DirectX
- Rolling back DirectX
- Disabling my antivirus
- Starting in safe mode
- Redownloading the steam client
- Running as admin (even though everything does by default for me anyway)
- Running in compatibility mode
I've probably tried every single other thing that's 'usual' to do in situations like these except for:
- Moving/deleting my steam folder and downloading the entire thing again
- Getting someone elses files for CS:GO
Every other game I have works perfectly, and CS:GO was doing so too, up until I tried to play tonight (I had last played the night before.
If anyone has any idea how to fix this (that I haven't already tried) I would be grateful to hear it.
Help me.
Thanks.
I had the same problem with a "non-official version" ( ) and didn't manage to solve it
So i have decided to wait offical release and buy it
CS:GO works for me, but i have a other Probem
In steam forums no one knows a way to fix the f****g problems.
And no updates to the beta from valve for a month. This game has a black future I think...
